We had to read up to page 50 in Educating Esme and I found it very good. I thought she brought up a lot of things that I had never really thought of. She said how important it is for teachers to have control of their class. I never really thought it was that important until I started hearing her say how much it was. I likes how she makes learning fun, as I am reading I wish I was in her classroom. I feel that she has had a huge impact on the kids learning and they love coming to school. I love how she has all of her students leave their troubles when they first walk into the room. There was one part that I really didn't understand and that is when they still have yet to fix the bullet hole in her room. I would think this would be a very important thing to fix. I also could not believe how the principle acts. When she said that all of the teachers were young and pretty, Mr. Turner clearly just hired them for looks and not for experience. Overall I thought this part of the book was very enjoyable to read.
